L'étranger is a contemporary dance theatre piece that expands on Victor's previous solo work To Stay or To Make a Move. In bringing to life characters from Albert Camus's novel, this piece explores the augmented perception of time in fragmented narratives as experienced by protagonist Meursault in Camus's L'étranger. At times elaborated and suspended while stranded and disjointed at others, the characters find themselves caught in fleeting moments of presence and existence.
Featuring a cast of some of the finest dance artists in Hong Kong (Hugh Cho, Lam Po, Max Lee, Kenny Leung, and Justyne Li Sze Yeung) together with an original sound score by Polish composer Sabio Janiak and lighting design by Lee Chi Wai, L'Étranger brings a uniquely cinematic experience to the live stage.
